The One with the Affordable Tips on Party Planning!

To celebrate the 4th of July this year, we had an all-American 4th of July picnic in Malibu!

We have so much fun getting creative with “the menu” & table settings for our events. If you want to have a beach picnic or a themed party for your little, here are 10 easy, affordable tips - and hacks - to help elevate & customize your party!

1. TABLE SETTINGS
I would definitely suggest using throw-away plates & utensils! The tables-cape will still look so cute when you find something themed and it’s so easy for clean up. For this event, I even mix + matched different paper plate sets.🍴

2. CUSTOMIZE TAGS
I try to customize anything I possibly can. I always use Avery Tags to customize a Welcome Treat or a party favor. 🏷

3. SNACK BASKETS
For each event I have, I always have themed snack baskets out in a location where kids can easily reach! This way, they can see their options and choose what they want.

4. FLORALS
Flowers are such a pretty, affordable way to tie your theme together. Definitely get some greenery/florals of some-type to elevate your table setting. 🌿

5. COVER YOUR FOOD
Pigeons & seagulls, bees & flies love food. This was cute for .03 seconds but it got old real quick. Don’t have food out if you’re throwing a picnic. 😂  Learn from my mistakes and keep all of your food covered.

6. THEMED FOOD
I love to make themed desserts! You can get so many good ideas offline and recreate your own.

7. CUSTOMIZING SNACKS
I wanted to make little yogurt parfaits and I covered them with fabric I picked up at Joann Fabrics. I got the mansion jars at the Dollar Tree and the fabric was $4 total. Fabric is always such an an inexpensive way to customize anything. ✂️

8. PACKAGING
I got these adorable boxes at Joann Fabrics and filled them with different picnic foods. One box had berries, (mini) Nutella jars, grapes & cheese and the other had watermelon, lime & (mini) tajin. *Get the cute minis right off of Amazon! Thank me later! 🍉🍇🍓

9. NAPKINS
I use linen napkins to elevate the table setting. It's so simple to do and easy to clean up. 🍽  I added different colors napkins so I could have red, white & blue without each napkin looking like an American flag. 🇺🇸

10. PARTY FAVORS
People have mixed feeling on party favors, but I definitely think a good host leaves their guests with a thank you/favor, if the budget allows. I always add everyone’s names to each bag. They say the most important word to any single person is their own name- so I like to use it! 🌟

I love the is post! To have my toddlers have a festive drink I use muddled strawberries to sparkling water so they have a refreshing drink for the 4th!

I just love KAMBIA kIDS
My daughter says it’s the most comfortable clothing she has ever worn. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Highly recommend KK.
